The Imports screen in the admin dashboard allows admins to bulk import users, content view data, and legacy SCORM course data to Fuse, as well as change manager-reporter relationships in bulk by importing a CSV file.

The Imports screen consists of the following tabs:
Bulk import of users
The Bulk import of users tab allows admins to:
- Add new users to Fuse by importing a CSV file.
- Make changes to the details of multiple existing users by importing a CSV file.

You cannot add profile pictures to users during import. This can only be done after users have been imported to Fuse. |
Important information
Take note of the following points when formatting the CSV file:
- You do not need to add headers at the top of each column in the CSV file. You will be prompted to map existing Fuse profile fields to each column during the import.
- When importing new users into Fuse, the CSV file must include each user's username or email address in order to import successfully.
When making changes to existing users, the CSV file must contain a user's username, email address or Fuse ID (User ID).
infoAn existing user's ID is visible in the URL of their Personal settings page:
- Non-mandatory user information in the CSV differs for each organisation and is based on the custom profile fields that have been set up in an organisation's Fuse instance. For example, some organisations may include information such as a user's first and last names, location, and employee number in the CSV file because there are fields in each user's profile that display this information.

To import users using a CSV file:
- In the Bulk import of users tab, click Import from CSV
- A window appears allowing you to search for and upload the CSV file.
- Select the CSV file and click Open.
The Tweaking the import screen appears. - [Optional] Under Ability options, select one or more of the following configurations:
- Add new users: Assigns new user IDs to all imported users.
Update existing users: Profile details for existing users are updated based on the information in the CSV file.
Info Existing users are Fuse users with a username or email address that matches the information in the CSV file.
- Under Manager options, select one of the following configurations:
- Add managers to existing managers list: Users marked as 'managers' in the CSV file are added to the managers list on the company instance.
Replace existing managers with new managers: Users marked as 'managers' in the CSV file replace existing managers on the company instance.
[Optional] Under Welcome email, select Send new users welcome email if you want a welcome email to be automatically sent to all newly-imported users.
Warning If you select the Send new users welcome email option, the password for all newly-imported users is reset. In the section below Welcome email, select labels from each dropdown, to correspond to the categories of information provided for each user in the CSV file, such as username and email address.
Info The available labels correspond to the custom profile fields created during the company on-boarding process.
Click Import users.
The users are added to Fuse and the CSV file is listed on the table in the Bulk import of users tab.If you have imported new users, they will appear on the Manage users screen.
infoIf the file fails to import successfully, you can download a report containing a list of errors by clicking the number in the Errors column. In the example below, 1 error was found in the CSV file.
The table in the Bulk import of users tab displays a list of completed user imports, as well as those that are currently in progress. The following information is displayed for each CSV file:

Views dataloader
The Views dataloader tab allows admins to bulk import view data for existing items of Fuse content. When importing view data for an item of content, you must provide the ID of the content, the ID of the Fuse user who has viewed the content, and the date they viewed the content.

When an organisation migrates from their previous learning management system to Fuse, they will often migrate all of their content and users. However, when content is migrated across, historical data for that content such as view data (records of when a user has viewed an item of content) might not be included. The Views dataloader tab allows admins to bulk import view data for content that has been migrated to Fuse. |

CSV files imported in the Views dataloader tab must contain the following header labels:

To import content views to Fuse:
- In the Views dataloader tab, click Import from CSV.
A window appears allowing you to search for and upload the CSV file. - Select the CSV file and click Open.
The CSV file is imported and Fuse will begin processing it. To check if the view data has been added to a particular item of content, click the Views tab on the content's homepage.
Info If the CSV file fails to import successfully, an error message is displayed providing further information.
For example, a CSV file cannot be imported if any of the mandatory CSV headers (listed in the table above) are missing or spelled incorrectly.
Managers and reporters
The Managers and reporters tab allows admins to assign managers to another user or assign reporters (users who are subordinate to another Fuse user) to a manager via a CSV import.
CSV files imported in the Managers and reporters tab must contain the following header labels:

To import a CSV file containing changes to manager/reporter relationships:
Under Manager options, select one of the following configurations:
- Add managers to existing managers list: Users marked as managers in the CSV file will be added to the managers list on the company instance.

Click the Import from CSV button.
The CSV file is imported and it will begin processing.
To check if a user's manager or reporter relationship has been updated, you can view the Manager/Report details section in the user's Personal settings screen.Info If the CSV file fails to import successfully, an error message is displayed providing further information.
For example, a CSV file cannot be imported if any of the mandatory CSV headers (listed in the table above) are missing or spelled incorrectly.
Events
The Events tab allows admins to bulk-import event records to Fuse using a CSV file. Details that can be imported include start and end dates, participating users, and host information.

The CSV file must contain all the following header labels, even where the data is optional:

To view imported events, either:
- Under Events import info, click the name of the CSV file.
- Under CSV, click the Download button.
Survey scores
The Survey scores tab was used by admins to import survey assessment scores to Fuse using a CSV file.

SCORM courses
The SCORM courses tab allows admins to import SCORM course data to Fuse in bulk, using a CSV file. For example, an organisation might want to import legacy completion data for a SCORM course that has been imported to Fuse from a legacy learning management system.

- In the SCORM courses tab, click Import from CSV.

To check if a user's completion data has been added for a particular SCORM course, you can:Create and run a SCORM courses report for the relevant SCORM courses.
Check the Certificates tab on each user's profile screen. For example, if the user has completed the SCORM course, a certificate will be listed in their Certificates tab with the date of completion.
