If you don’t want to receive notifications related to content interactions, such as when a user comments on, likes or shares content in communities you belong to (including content you own or follow), you can stop receiving them by deselecting settings in the following places:

  • User Defaults admin screen: You can disable certain comment, like and share notifications in the User Defaults screen of the Admin Panel.

  • Notifications tab in your profile: You can disable certain comment, like and share notifications in the Notifications tab in your profile.

Most notifications are automatically sent to users when something occurs in the system - these cannot be disabledSome notifications are automatically sent to users from the system and these cannot be disabled, even when notifications are disabled by admins in the User Defaults page, and by users in the users in Notifications tab in their profile. The table below shows which notifications are still sent out when the above-mentioned settings by the system even when admin/user preferences are disabled, and which users receive them.
