The Reporting (Beta) screen will eventually replace the legacy Reporting screen and will include a host of new and improved reports. The features and reports on this new screen will be rolled out in stages across several consecutive releases.

When you share a report with a user, they will automatically gain access to the Reporting (Beta) screen in the Admin panel. If As long as they have no other reporting-related permissions assigned to them, they will only see be able to access the Shared with me tab, where they will can only be able to download the reports specifically shared with them.

You can prevent individual users from accessing custom reports that have been shared with them by removing them from revoking their membership of the Reporting system admin group in the Admin groups screen:

When a user is a member

Members of the Reporting system admin group:

  • Can access the Shared with me tab in theReporting (Beta) screen, where they can download custom reports that have been shared with them.

  • Can see download reports that have been shared with them by clicking links in share notifications they receive in the platform.

  • Are granted the Reporting (Beta) permission, which gives them the ability to see the Reporting (beta) screen and the Shared with me tab, but they are not granted access to any other reporting-related site admin permissions, such as the ability to create, edit, or delete reports or view reports that have been generated by other users, as long as they have not been granted those permissions via membership of other admin groups.

When a user’s membershipis revoked

When a user is removed from the Reporting system admin group, they are no longer able to access the Shared with me tab or download any of the reports shared with them.

If you’ve removed a user from the Reporting system admin group admin group but there are already reports scheduled to be generated and shared with that user, they will still receive share notifications when the reports are generated, but the user will be unable to download the reports from those notifications when clicking the download links.
