You can comment on an item of content such as an article, question, or link. You might comment on an item of content to ask a question, reply to another user's comment (as part of a comment thread), or to provide feedback to the content's creator. You can also like another user's comment and report a comment if it contains inappropriate or offensive language.
When you comment on an item of content, you will automatically follow it.
To unfollow an item of content:
- Click the ellipsis underneath the item of content.
- On the dropdown, click Unfollow ().
The content is unfollowed.

Commenting on an item of content

To post a comment on an item of content:
Scroll down to the Comments tab ().
In the Write a comment... field, enter the comment.
[Optional] To mention a user in a comment:
In the Write a comment... field, type the @ sign.
A list of community members appears.Start typing the name of the user you want to mention and the list filters down to match the criteria you have entered.
Select the user from the list or press Enter.
The user is added to the comment.
Click Post.
The comment is posted.
Editing a comment
You can edit an existing comment you have posted.
To edit a comment:
Click the ellipsis () on the right-hand side of the comment.
The menu appears.Click Edit ().
The comment field appears.Make the necessary changes to the text.
Click Post.
The comment is updated.
Replying to a comment
You can reply to another user's comment. When you reply to a comment, a comment thread is started.
To reply to a comment:
- Click Reply () below the comment.
The Write a reply... field appears. In the Write a reply... field, enter a comment.
Click Post.
The reply appears below the original comment.
Liking a comment
You can like a comment that another user has posted.
To like a comment, click Like ().
To unlike a comment you have previously liked, click Like () again.
The number of likes a comment has received is displayed next to the Like icon.
Reporting a comment
You can report a comment if it contains inappropriate or offensive language. When a comment is reported, a notification is sent to the community admin. The community admin then decides whether or not to remove the comment via the Community moderation screen.

To report a comment:
Click the ellipsis () on the right-hand side of the comment.
The menu appears.Click Report ().
The item is reported to the community admin.
Deleting a comment
You can delete a comment that you have posted.
If you are the community admin, you can delete any comment in the community, even if you have not posted it.
To delete a comment:
Click the ellipsis () on the right-hand side of the comment.
The menu appears.- Click Delete ().
The comment is deleted.
If you delete a parent comment, child comments will remain active.
