The ability to see a learning plan in search results depends on which setting is selected in the Visibility tab of the Learning plan editor.

The following rules apply:

  • Unassigned: If the user is a member of the community where the learning plan exists, and Unassigned is selected, the user will be unable to see the learning plan in search results.

  • All members: If the user is a member of the community where the learning plan exists, and All members is selected, the user will see this learning plan in search results, as all community members are assigned to it by default.

  • Specific members: If the user is a member of the community where the learning plan exists, and the learning plan has been manually assigned to them using the Specific members setting, the user will see the learning plan in search results.

  • Audience: If the user is a member of the community where the learning plan exists, and they belong to an audience that is assigned the learning plan, the user will see it in their search results.

If a user is not a member of an open or protected community where a learning plan exists, the learning plan is only visible in search results if the visibility is set to All members.
