Deleting an assessment from a topic

To delete an assessment from a topic:

1. Open the topic with the assessment you wish to delete.

   Open

   

2. Click Edit Topic.

   Open

   

3. If you are deleting a formal assessment and it is scored manually using a formula, you must delete this formula. (If you are deleting a different assessment type, or your formal assessment is auto-calculated, you can skip this step).
   To delete a manual formula for a formal assessment:

   1. Click the Assessment settings tab.

   2. Click Formal.

   3. Click Scoring.

   4. Clear the formula from the Manual field.

4. Click the Assessment tab.

5. In the Question Bank, delete all of the questions that are in the assessment you want to delete:
   To delete each question:

   1. Expand a question.

   2. Scroll down to the bottom and click Delete.

      The question is deleted from the Question Bank.

6. Click the Attach questions sub-tab.

7. From the Assessment type dropdown, select the type of assessment. For example, if you want to delete the formal assessment that is attached to the topic, select Formal assessment from the dropdown.

8. Delete all of the questions attached to the content/chapters.
   To delete each question:

   1. Expand the question.

   2. Scroll down to the bottom and click Delete.

      The question is deleted from the assessment.

9. Click Save.

   Return to the homepage of the topic and the assessment is deleted.
