Please take note of the following before using this connector:
The courses are only visible in Fuse search results.
The courses cannot be opened in Fuse and cannot be added to topics, learning plans or communities.
The courses automatically synchronise with Udemy every 12 hours.
Users must have a valid Udemy for Business licence to view the courses in Udemy.
Social information such as views, comments, likes and shares only apply to Fuse content, and so, are not available for Udemy courses.
Prerequisites steps
To set up the Udemy for Business connector, you must do the following:
1. Set up a Udemy for Business community
In order to control which users see Udemy for Business courses, you must set up a community and add users with Udemy for Business licenses to it. Only members of this community will see Udemy for Business courses in Fuse search results. Any other users will not to see the courses. This community can contain Fuse content or it can be completely empty, and it can be Open, Protected, Private or Public. The community simply determines which users see Udemy courses in search results. The Udemy courses do not exist within the community itself.
If you do not want to create a new community specifically for this purpose, you can use one that already exists in Fuse.
2. Raise a ticket with Support
You must raise a Udemy for Business integration ticket with Fuse Support, including the ID of the community mentioned in the above step. Once this has been done, the Fuse Support team can set up the integration.
To raise a Udemy for Business integration ticket:
Log in to the Fuse Support portal.
On the top menu, click Raise a Support Request.
Click the NAME OF TICKET TYPE option.
The new request screen opens, where you must enter the ID of the community containing members with access to Udemy for Business.When you have populated the required fields, click Create.
The ticket is created and the Fuse Support team will configure the integration. You can track the progress of your ticket in the My Requests screen.
Searching for Udemy courses in Fuse
Once the integration has been set up, members of the community specified in the Prerequisite steps section, will be able to see Udemy courses in Fuse search results. Search results from Fuse and Udemy are aggregated and sorted in order of relevance to your search query. Udemy courses are clearly labelled, so you can easily differentiate them from ordinary Fuse content. You can also filter the search results by source, so that you only see Fuse content or courses from Udemy for Business.
Filtering Udemy courses in Fuse search results
When searching for Udemy courses, you can /wiki/spaces/Fuse/pages/3152871825 to narrow down the search results. You can select the Udemy for Business option under the Source facet, so that only Udemy courses are returned, as well as filter by Type, Subject, and Topic.

Topic | Allows you to filter Udemy for Business courses by topic. For example, the ‘Leadership & Management’ subject might include a topic called ‘Strategy’. The concept of a topic in Udemy is distinctly different from a Fuse topic. |
Managing user visibility
You can manage which users see Udemy for Business courses, by adding or removing users from the community specified in Step 1 of the Prerequisite steps section above. For information on how to add and remove users from communities in Fuse, see Managing community members.
It may take a few minutes for community membership changes to take effect.
Tracking completion data
Completion data for Udemy for Business courses is not available in Fuse.
