The social feed shows a list of content, posted by users in communities you belong to, which can be narrowed down using the filters at the top of the feed. You can tap on an item of content to view it in detail, as well as like it, share it, comment on it, and report it. 

Filtering the feed

You can use the filters at the top of the feed to narrow down the content.

The following filters are available: 

FilterDescription
Most Recent

Content posted in communities you are a member of, with the most recently posted content at the top of the feed.

Notes:

  • When you view the social feed for the first time, Most Recent is selected by default. However, if you switch to Recommended, it will become the new default. 
  • Content you have posted is also displayed in the Most Recent list, along with content posted by other users.
Recommended 

Recommended content from communities you are a member of, based on the number of likes, views, shares, and comments, with the most popular content at the top of the feed.

Content you have personally posted is not included in the Recommended list. 

Content shown in Recommended can be filtered by time period. For example, you might only want to see content posted in the last 24 hours. 

To filter the list of recommended content, tap the From dropdown and select a time period. 


The following can be selected from the dropdown: 

  • Today: Content created today, from communities you are a member of. 

    Today is always selected by default.

  • Last 24 hours: Content created in the last 24 hours, from communities you are a member of. 
  • Last 7 days: Content created in the last 7 days, from communities you are a member of. 
  • Last 30 days: Content created in the last 30 days, from communities you are a member of. 

If there is no recommended content to show for your selected time period, Fuse defaults to the next available time period. For example, if there is no recommended content to show for Today, Fuse automatically shows content for Last 24 hours instead. If there is no content for Last 24 hours, Fuse defaults to Last 7 days and so on. 

If no recommended content is available for any of the time periods, the following message is displayed: That's all there is for now! We'll recommend more content as it becomes available. 

Removing content from the Recommended list

If you no longer wish to see an item of content in the Recommended list, you can remove it. For example, you might want to remove content which is not relevant to you. 

It is not possible to remove content from the Most Recent list. 

There are two ways to remove content from the Recommended list:

Method 1

  1. On the content card, swipe in slowly from the right side of the screen. 
    An x appears to the right of the content card.
  2. Tap the x.

    The content is removed from the feed. 

Method 2

  1. Swipe in quickly from the right side of the screen, across the entire width of the content card. 

    The content card disappears and the content is removed from the feed.

Refreshing the feed

To refresh the feed, swipe down from the top of the feed.

Liking an item of content

To like an item of content: 

  1. On the social feed, tap an item of content.

    The content homepage opens.
  2. Tap the Like icon() . 

    When you have liked an item of content, the colour of the Like icon changes. To unlike an item of content, tap the Like icon again. 

    The number of likes an item of content has received is displayed next to the Like icon ().

Commenting on an item of content

You can comment on an item of content such as an article, question, or link. You might comment on an item of content to ask a question, reply to another user's comment (as part of a comment thread), or to provide feedback to the content's creator.

To comment on an item of content: 

  1. On the social feed, tap an item of content.

    The content homepage opens.
  2. In the Write comment.. field, enter a comment.

  3. [Optional] To mention a user in the comment:

    1. Enter the @ sign.
    2. The Start typing a name... field appears. 
    3. In the Start typing a name... field, enter the name of a user and a list of matching community members appears.
    4. Tap the user you want to mention.
    5. The user is added to the comment.
  4. Tap the Send icon (). 
    The comment is posted. 

Sharing an item of content

You can share an item of content with one or more additional users or communities.

To share an item of content:

  1. On the social feed, tap the Share icon () on the item of content.

    The Share with... popup appears at the bottom of the screen. 

To share the content with one or more additional users:

  1. Tap Users ().

    The Select Users screen appears. 
  2. In the Search for a user field, enter the name of a user. 
  3. Tap Search on the keypad of your mobile device. 
  4. Select the user from the list. 

    Repeat steps 2-4 to search for and add another user. 

  5. Tap NEXT

    The Write a message screen appears.
  6. [Optional] In the Write a personal message field, enter a message for the user.
  7. Tap SHARE.

    The content is shared with the selected user(s). 

To share the content with one or more additional communities: 

You can only share the content with communities you have permission to notify. 

  1. Tap Communities ().
  2. The Select Communities screen appears.
  3. In the Search for a community field, enter the name of a community.
  4. Tap Search on the keypad of your mobile device. 
  5. Select the community from the list. 

    Repeat steps 3-5 to search for and add another community. 

  6. Tap NEXT

    The Write a message screen appears.
  7. [Optional] In the Write a personal message field, enter a message that will be sent to the community members.
  8. Tap SHARE.

    The content is shared with the selected communities. 

Reporting an item of content

You can report an item of content if it contains inappropriate or offensive language. When an item of content is reported, the community admin will moderate the content in the Reported Items section of the Community admin screen.  

Admins cannot access the Community admin or Site moderation screens on the Fuse mobile app.

To report an item of content: 

  1. On the social feed, tap an item of content.

    The content homepage opens.
  2. Tap the ellipsis (). 

    A menu appears at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap Report ().
    The Report content popup appears.
  4. Tap Report

    The content is reported to the community admin.
