Fuse can provide automated user provisioning via CSV, allowing you to easily keep your user data in sync with the Fuse platform. This service is ideal for organisations looking to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee profiles, including new hires, role changes, and deactivations, without having to enter the data manually. By automating user provisioning, you can streamline user management, reducing administration overhead and errors.

You can provision users, including creating them and updating their details via the API using the Manage users endpoint. We recommend utilising the API endpoints first and foremost, as it is more efficient for real-time updates and seamless integration, however, if you don’t have access to the API, CSV provisioning can be used instead.

This service is scoped individually per customer and offered as an add-on, as it requires additional licensing. If you wish to use this service, please contact the Fuse Services team.

How it works

Your organisation provides a daily upload of two CSV files in a standard, agreed-upon template:

  • File 1 (addupd): For creating and updating user profiles (including names, emails, job titles, and reporting managers).

  • File 2 (del): For deactivating user profiles when a member of your organisation leaves.

Once uploaded, the data is processed to ensure the latest updates are reflected in the Fuse platform.

Customer responsibilities

In order for automated user provisioning to work correctly, Fuse requires the following:

  • Data quality and accuracy: You as the customer are responsible for the accuracy of the data provided in the CSV files. This includes ensuring that all required fields are populated and that the data is current.

  • File Consistency: Files should follow the agreed-upon template to avoid any processing issues.
