You might see dummy topics on insights and in reports in Universal Analytics. Dummy topics only exist in Universal Analytics and are used to group free-standing items of content that do not currently exist in a topic. A dummy topic does not actually exist in Fuse - it is used to group these standalone items together when viewing insights related topics in Universal Analytics.
Ideally, dummy topics should be filtered out of insights to give an accurate view at topic level. In some cases it may be useful to keep dummy topics on display. For example, you might want to compare engagement in dummy topics vs real topics, to see if content engagement increases or decreases when content os included in topics vis added to Fuse on its own.
A dummy topic may appear more than once if the content within it has been interacted with prior to being added to the topic.
