Search results cards
This section includes information about the new Fuse search. If you are currently using Fuse's legacy search, see Legacy search.
Each item of content returned in the search results is represented as a card. Clicking on a card takes you to that particular item, where you can view it in further detail. Each card has an icon in the top-left corner indicating the item type, and displays any information that is relevant to that item type.
Information is only displayed on search results cards if it is available.
For example, an article card displays the Article icon, thumbnail, description, creation date, read time, author's name, and social information such as the number of views, likes, comments and shares the article has received.
The following item cards appear in Fuse search results:
Card | Description |
---|---|
Article | Represents an article posted to Fuse. The card shows the Article icon, title, description, thumbnail, creation date, read time, author's name, and social information such as the number of views, likes, comments and shares. |

The card shows the Event icon, title, description, thumbnail, and clickable links to each occurrence (with the date, time, timezone, location and host). When searching for events, Fuse will return any events that match your query, even if they have already taken place, however, only future occurrences are listed on event cards. Once an occurrence for a particular event has taken place, it is no longer visible on the event card in search results. To see past occurrences for an event, you must open the event. |

The card shows the icon, title, description, author's name, creation date, and social information such as the number of views, likes, comments and shares. Where applicable, a label is displayed on the card indicating the specific file type. In the example below, the label shows that the file is a Microsoft Word file.
