This is the main content feed showing all the content that has been posted to the platform that you have permission to see, such as content from communities that you belong to. This gives you a quick view of what has recently been posted to the platform. You can view, save, share, and comment on items that appear on the feed.

From here you can see the details of each item of content that has been posted, including the content type, title, description, when it was posted, and social information, such as how many times it has been liked, commented on, and shared.

Viewing an item on the feed

You can view an item of content in full by clicking the View button on the card:

Like an item of content by clicking the Like icon:

Commenting on an item on the feed

Leave a message, feedback, or start a conversation underneath an item of content by clicking the Add a comment icon:

Sharing an item on the feed

Share an item of content by clicking the Share content button and then selecting a community or user to share it with, or copying the link to the content. See below for more information each of these methods of sharing.

Sharing an item with users

You can share an item with specific users on the platform.

To do this:

  1. Click the Share content icon on the item of content:

  2. On the menu, click Share with Users.

    The Share with Users popup appears.

  3. Here, you can select the users with whom you want to share the content. You can manually enter a user’s name in the Add users field, as well as automatically select users who fit certain predefined categories, including:

    • Your Team: These are all the users on the platform who share the same manager as you.

    • My reports: Users who you are managing, as specified in the Report field in your profile settings.

    • My manager: The user who has been specified as your manager in the Manager field in your profile settings.

  4. Optionally, you can enter a message that the recipients of the share will be able to read.

  5. When you are ready, click Share and the content is shared with the selected recipients and they will receive a notification.

Sharing an item with communities

You can share an item with communities on the platform.

To do this:

  1. Click the Share content icon on the item of content:

  2. On the menu, click Share with Communities.

    The Share with Communities popup appears.

  3. Here you can search for communities and select them. Select a community you wish to share the content with.

  4. Optionally, you can enter a message that the recipients of the share will be able to read. For example, it might be an important item of content that all members of that community should be made aware of, such as an important announcement.

  5. When you are ready, click Share and the content is shared with the selected community. All community members will receive a notification.

Sharing the link to an item

You can share a link to an item directly by copying it to your clipboard and pasting it somewhere.

Note: When sharing an item directly with someone using this option, please be aware that the recipient must have the correct permissions to see it, such as being a member of the community where that item exists, as well as signed in to the platform, otherwise the recipient of the link will be unable to view it.

To do this:

  1. Click the Share content icon on the item of content:

  2. On the menu, click Copy link.

    The link is copied to your clipboard where it can be pasted somewhere or shared.


Saving an item

Save an item of content by clicking the Save button on the card, and it is added to your list of saved items in the Saved screen so that you can access it quickly and easily.
